Thanks for the information.  I think you're right about the script.  I also have overdrive but have never checked to see if the trunk had holes for that script.

I have a few spare parts that are exclusive to the '52 Belvedere, such as the chrome moldings that separate the "saddle back" paint colors, set of the 3 rear windows, windshield moldings etc...but no Belvedere script.  I think that it will be nearly impossible to find that or the overdrive script for the trunk (I finally filled in the holes for that).  The only departure from the originality of the car is that I replaced the gas tank filler with a gas door and filler from a Ford Bronco....couldn't stand the gas leaking on the paint when filling the tank.  It is my understanding that the wheels were always painted black.  I painted mine red because I think they should have done that at the factory to match the hubcap centers....I did the same thing in 1953 to my original car.

Congratulations!  I have a '52 Belvedere in the same color, but mine is more of a 20-footer.  Mine also has the visor, but only the holes remain on the pan where the fog lights used to be.  From the "before" photo, it looks like you had a lot of work to do to get it in it's present condition and it looks really great.  A couple of questions.  Do you know what color the wheels were when it was new?  Mine have been painted blue, but I thought they might ought to be black.  Do you know where a person might find the Belvedere script that goes on the sides above the rear fenders?  Thanks.

Congrats on your trophy! There are alot of Chevy's and Fords out there. I have owned my 55 Plymouth for over 30 years. I have thought about selling it and getting something else at times. Then I think about it, Plymouths may be the underdog and that is what makes it unique. I have had people ask me what kind of car is it, at car shows. I tell them it is a 1955 Plymouth. Their response, I didn't know they made Plymouth's back then.
Now my motto is own a Plymouth and save a piece of American Automotive History!

I honestly think that owning a Plymouth or other Chrysler product is one of the neatest things. as I agree there are lots of Fords and Chevies out there, although they are nice also, it is much more enjoyable to see the makes that are less popular.

This past weekend, I attended a car show in Middletown, Connecticut - the first outing with my newly finished '52 Belvedere. 

My car attracted a lot of attention - so many made comments concerning the fact that they were so sick of all of the '50s Chevys and Fords that it was refreshing to see something different. 

The 50 - 59 class was so full of Chevys, I couldn't believe that I won the first place trophy for that class out of 38 cars.
