Andy Bernbaum lists the valve covers in his catalog, but when I called I was told that they no longer carry them.  So, new metal valve stems it is.

Hi Bill;

Thanks for your response on the POC blog.  I once purchased a set of the valve covers from Whitney, but left them on the green Belvedere that I sold.  I have been looking for a new set for a couple of years and cannot locate them.  At your suggestion, I called Bernbaum and they no longer carry them.  So, if you would be willing to sell me your spare set, I would really appreciate it.  You can email me at .

One way to stop wheel cover creep is to put small valve stem covers around the valve stems.  They are the same diameter as the holes in the wheel covers and will greatly reduce creep.  I got mine from Andy Bernbaum a few years back.  If you can't find them, let me know - I think I have a spare set.

I found sturdy metal tire valves that should stop my creeping hubcap problems.  I have to know the tire valve rim hole size.  Can anyone help ?  The valves I want to buy are .453".
