I have a 55 Plymouth with a 6 volt coil mounted on top of the plug wires. On my car the coil bracket has a scew and nut you loosen and the coil can slide out. You might want to find a coil bracket from a 55 Plymouth.

I have a bad coil on my '50 Windsor - not Plymouth of course but I have a '40 PT105 and a '53 Belvedere so I thought I could ask a question about a similar car.  Anyway coil is bad, and I am not having any luck getting a replacement that has the bracket spot-welded to the coil body so the coil can be mounted atop the plug wire loom.  Tried Bernbaum and Roberts but they do not have. Would appreciate any suggestion and am a ready buyer if you have a spare to sell.

Thx, Gerorge
