Matt,

I used a straight fitting to accept the 5/8" heater hose and put a ball or gate type valve in the same hose over the fender well on the way to the heater. Not original but works well.

The water inlet valve on the front of my 38 plymouth truck flat six broke into many pieces. I was wondering if someone had one or what else I could use???? It has a pipe thread a the bottom which I believe is half inch and a small shut off on top. Thanks for all the help Matt

If you are talking about the heater shut off valve on the back side of the block, you can get those through your "local better auto supply" store. Have them let you look at the paper catalog that lists truck heater parts.
