Transmission Number

A friend of mine has an old tranny that he figures is around 1931.? Here is the number? T81-1? ?W.G. Co is embossed on it

I'm out here but I don't think I can help. Casting numbers don't show up in the parts book and the spare transmission for my car is for 1933.

Can you post a photo? There are some images in the parts book and maybe with a photo we could confirm or rule out some posibilities.
