This is the full size Plymouth Airflow clay buck beside a 1934 Chrysler Airflow sedan.(However it could be something called 'forced perspective'. The Plymouth could be a small model.)

I've just come across a 1977 copy of Special Interest Autos (SIA #40) with a partial story about the 'Plymouth Airflow". Apparently Chrysler did indeed have thoughts about a Plymouth Airflow. It went by the engineering code 'P113'. The design was made by Norman Bel Geddes one of those people in the 30's that would design a toaster if you wanted him to. Both the interior and exterior were designed but only a clay model was finished but it appears to be full size in the photo sitting beside a 1934 Chrysler Airflow. It's a 4 door sedan with the front doors opening normal and the rears 'suicide'. The photo is courtesy of the 'Hoblitzelle Theatre Arts Library' who ever they are. I wonder whatever happened to the clay buck of the Plymouth Airflow?
