Wipers on my 41

I had my vacuum motor rebuilt and have installed it on my 41 P12. It works perfectly, except that the on/off position is backwards. When I shut them off the wipers they are in the up position. I took it off and put them back on again an still the same results. I know there must be a simple solution to this simple problem.?
