CG and I have been comparing notes on crankout windshield seals and need some help:
The Steelerubber.com catalogue shows a #40-0018-52 seal that fits into the crank out framed window section that's fairly obvious it seals the frame to body suuround. Steele also shows a #70-1853-52 seal set with a 52" long (bottom?) and 74" grooved piece which is assumed for the top and sides due to its length.

The orig. parts book is unclear though it lists 3 seals by number. When closed, the frame is about 1/2" from the body at the dash, etc. We can't figure out how the grooved seal, if it is the correct one, is installed. Does it fit onto the interior garnish moldings? And is the other lower portion glued to the sheet metal to which the dash is bolted?
Any help appreciated if this seal set is correct and how it is installed.
Thanks, Lew
