Transmission clean and flush

I usually use Varsol for cleaning anything greasy or oily and have used it to clean several transmissions.

Finally got another transmission to put in my 31 PA.? I want to clean/flush the gears but read that kerosene should not be used. Any suggestions? Thanks?
