try flipping the drive shaft 180 degrees, remove the 4 bolts from the transmissiion to driveshaft mounting flange, push the u joint back
to release it and then rotate it 1/2 trun and put it back together.  This may address vibration issue. 

There is an adjuster on the top of the steering box.  You remove the lock bolt, loosen the star wheel, turn the stud with a screwdriver do a half turn at a time till you remove the slop.  You don;t want it too tight so adjust in small increments till your happy.

Seems to be running pretty good. Got 500 miles on the new engine. Just need to get rid of a bad vibration and some play in the steering wheel and I'll be real happy. Once I get those fixed, I'll be ready to try some long runs with the car. Would like to make it to one of the meets next year. Pulled the head off the old engine and found a blown head gasket. Not sure what I'm going to do with this engine yet. I know it needs rings and bearings.
