Change from 6V to 12 V 55 Plymouth Belveder

For 12V Radio, GPS position systems, cellphone etc You better get a 6 to 12 V converter. Some deliver 10 Amps (and consume 25!). They however cannot work at full load if very hot (under dash in summer), because of a safety temp device included.

Unless you have a specific reason, like the use of a modern stereo system, there is no advantage to conversion.  My philosophy is, if you can not get there with 6 volts positive ground, you don't need to go.
