I think these are the best technical manuals made for our cars. I bought a couple of the ones the Imperial Club was missing because I wanted the information. I know the club is trying to complete their collection. I sent the  ones I bought to the person from the club who is putting this site together. He copied them and returned my books in just a couple of weeks. I thinkt they would like to know if anyone has the other manuals they are missing.

Thanks for sending it along. I'm going to print out some of it and put it in the binder with my shop manual.

When my youngest son was 14, we had a well-worn '49 Dodge with Fluid Drive. I used to sit in a lawn chair with a brewski, and watch him and his buddy drive it around the one acre lot next to our house. Every time he upshifted the Fluid Drive, it sounded like a bunch of ball bearings rolling around in a porcelain pan.

I'll have to read the chapter on hydraulic transmissions; maybe it will explain the noise.
