Frosty,

I have a 1955 4 door plaza suburban. If you are a starter, I would say go for it, it is an easy car to work on. But you should take a few things in mind.
The 1955 car is a rare item, only build for one year. I do not know what engine is in but the V8 is very rare. The weak point on this engine is the crankshaft. It tends to break. The luck thing is however, everything from the Dodge 241 and 270 V8 hemi will fit the 260 (or 259 if you like) V8 poly engine, appart from the engine head.
If you have a V8 inside, the 4 barrol carburator is a rare but very wanted item. (my car has one).
I do have a lot of information on where to get parts and information.

The body work is very easy. The car I have has a perfect body. However, I didn't see (m)any offers in panels or fenders for a 1955 car, I didn't have to look however.
The only item I didn't find until now is the dome light cap.

I love the car and I hope it will drive after a full engine overhaul (including replacing the crankshaft) this summer.
I live in The Netherlands. The car would be worth $14000 in good shape in my country (= little rust, complete, original and engine overhauled). That would be about $7000 to $9000 in the US (considering the transport from the US to Europe).
If it is $2000 inspect the car carefully why it is so cheap. An engine overhaul will cost $3k -$4k.

If you need any info let me know.

Thanks, I think I saw that car last night when I was looking for info on this car. I didnt know that plymouth made a 2 door wagon. I may trade a vehicle for the car, its in the $2000 price range, would you say thats too much for a 2 door wagon?

Well, guess I need adjusted !!  Here is a 1955 in Hemmings--beautiful photos and a price of $25,000.
This also is much nicer than a 56 [my opinion, guys]

I may have a chance to purchase this car, It needs restoration. I cant seem to find even a picture of one anywhere. Does anyone know a ballpark figure of what this may be worth. ???
