what type of trans fluid?

I recall seeing a discussion of correct tranny fluids on that site, which has a wealth of info on all things MOPAR.

Hi can anyone tell me the best fluid to put into my powerflite transmission? the book says "type A" which you cant get anymore (unless you work on a Jap whaler!) Ive been told Dexron/Mercon III is the go but i'd like someone else's opinion bearin' in mind im in the UK and dont seem to have the classic back up you guys in the states enjoy!
