Here are a couple of pictures showing what I think is a good quality reproduction of the wiring. The first picture is one of the headlamp cables and sockets. The headlamp plugs into the plastic socket and the parking lamp goes into the spring-loaded socket. The parking lamp socket is a good example of something that would be hard to duplicate. It has a double bayonet that both holds the bulb and holds the socket to a bracket in the headlamp door. I was able to find a couple of NOS assemblies. I took the cable, rubber grommet, and parking lamp socket from the NOS. I sent them to YnZ's and they changed out the wires with new duplicates and added a new plastic socket for the headlamp.

The second picture shows an assortment of instrument panel wires. These are all new except the sockets. I replated the sockets and sent them to YnZ's. They reassembled everything with new wire, terminals, etc.

The paper tags are not original. Those are used to rewire the car following a numbered guide that is sent with the new harness. The tags can be removed once everything is in place.

YnZ's will use a template they have on file for your exact car. If they don't have it, you can send your old harness and they will replicate it in every detail. These are not off-the-shelf, but custom built for every order. I will post a picture of the harness they built for me when I get a chance. It took a while to get the harness returned, but I thought it was worth the wait.

I've just looked the parts # up and the book shows a different # for left and right hand drive , and also a different # if fitted with powerflite

Virge I don't know whether your 55 is left or right hand drive , if right hand be carefull as the harness could be different to the left hand drive

YnZ's Yesterdays Parts provide first class wiring harnesses that match the original in every way. If they don't have a specialty socket they will reuse yours. If the have exact new replicas, they will use those.
