I went out to wildcat right after I got my car. There was a 50 out there with almost perfect interior, but they would only sell me the whole car. All the others of right around that year had no seats or were in worse shape than the ones I have.

I have found that having a parts car on hand usually is the best way to find parts. I, as a general rule, will 'high-grade' all the good parts off the parts car, replacing them with parts I have taken off the main project car.  I will either sell the parts car once I have gotten everything I need, or I will part the car out and just sell the parts.

I once bought a complete '63 Chevy SS HT,  just to get one piece of fender trim I needed for a '63 SS conv. I was restoring. The parts car had a blown motor and no title so I parted it out. In two years the $200. investment turned into over $2,000. I understand that storing the parts and/or parts car can be a problem. I have owned my own business since 1969, so I always had a little corner of the truck yard where I could keep my 'stuff'....Bill

I used seats out of a 1986 Dodge Aries in my 48 P15, We made seat risers and bolted them to the floor.

Bugger.  Well, if anyone needs a set of aparently really nice seats for a 48 contact she wants $250 for both.

P 15 seats will not fit a P18.  The floorpans and overall design are different.  Seats from a p20 or even a p 23 will fit.  I think you mentioned Oregon sunshine in another post. If that is correct, look up Wildcat Mountain Auto Wrecking in Sandy.  503 668 7786  ( Ed Yost)    he may have what you need,  over 2000 cars, all Chrysler products.

My original seats were home to mice and dampness for about 50 years and are totally worthless. I have a lead to a set of seats out of a 48 4 door, but I have no idea if they will bolt up. Any of you guys happen to know if they are compatible? Or does anyone have a set of seats that aren't totally shot? Color doesn't matter, they'd be recovered to match anyway. The important part is the springs and the framework.
