CongratulationsI can't believe the effort needed to complete such a project. This is a good example of how great it is to belong to such a club that is really there to help us, the members. I want to know all I can about the 30U and older issues of the Bulletin are just not easy to come by.  Thanks to all who worked on this project. Can't wait. Gary

WOW!!! Jim, I loaded the new DVD into the computor and was so surprised by the clearity of the photos. You guys did one "Bang up job" on them. Thanks for all the hard work that the members put into such a large project. It's guys like that that make membership so much fun for the rest. GO - and others.  If you paid for the original CD set, the new 2-disc DVD is free to you.  The board decided because of the long delay in this project, that those who had waited so patiently (well, most of you anyway!) that you would be rewarded with the newer, up-to-date version at no extra charge.  There will be no additional CD sets - just the DVD set.

Since you ordered the 4 CD set earlier you should be getting these two DVDs. I imagine that with international shipping/postage your set may take longer to arrive than for those of us in "the States".

You don't "play" the DVDs: They are ISO 9660 formatted computer disks filled with Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files.

At least on my MacBook all I needed to do is pop them in the optical drive then double click on the file icons to view them. I don't have access to a Windows machine with a DVD drive so I can't say how they would work there for sure. But I imagine it would be pretty much the same.

The club sent the DVDs to all who originally purchase the 6 CD set.

Tony, as I had originally bought the first 6 pack, I now don?t have to order the new 2 CDs?
And how can I pay them?

I can't remember how many years ago, 5 or 6, the Club offered to copy all of the Plymouth Bulletins onto CDs.  It worked for the first 197 issues on 4 CDs, and then they had problems with the final 2 CDs.  The club sent the DVDs to all who originally purchase the 6 CD set.

Jim Benjaminson will see this topic, and will probably have the info as to how other members can now buy the 2 DVDs.

That was quite a surprise when I got my mail today and an envelope came from Jim Benjaminson with 2 DVD data disks.  If you didn't order the original CDs several years ago, you missed out on getting the first 40 years of the Plymouth Bulletin in digital format.  Production problems limited the transfer to digital copies to the first 197 issues.  Now on the DVDs, issue 1 thru 286 have been recorded.

Thanks to all who participated on this project, job well done.  Now I have to get a DVD data reader for my desktop. ;D
