If already done, You can?t but wait for the results. I think that car paints must be better than furniture?s because of necessity to withstand weather, sun, cold and hot and hail and gravel.

If it looks good, appreciate itand and be happy it did not make bubbles with the old paint! Go

Did you use clear coat for car pant or did you use the clear that you would use on wood doors, and furniture??? I used the clear for the furniture on a car that I have and liked the way that it came out. After I did this someone said that I sould have used clear coat that would be used on the body of the car,oh-well it is all finished now. I looks real good. :o

Dear Jess,

I had to redo all of my wood grain, it was a lot of work! At last, I had to spray several coats of clear Polyurethane over to protect the colour from bleaching by the sun. Maybe PU - coat would work right for You. Definitely try for chemical incompatibility in one hidden place before!. Problem is, that You have to take the dash instruments out and you have to mask steering whelle, window glass, seats and all. Maybe you rather find something like PU- polishing paste?

Greetings! Go,

My 46 special Deluxe has the metal woodgrain dash in it.? Does anyone know what I need to do to it to protect it and make it look nice again?? It has very little rust and I like the woodgrain look for the dash and I want to preserve that look Thanks ;)? cotterpin
