Good advice from David. You should also consider getting a tubing bender. It's an inexpensive tool, and allows you to pretty accurately follow the factory routing of the tubing. If you like neat, clean results a bender is essential.

Auto supplys sell a variety of lengths of brake tubing. The 40 uses 1/4 inch.  Buy tubes that are a little longer than needed,( it is sometimes possible to get an exact fit)  and get yourself a double flaring tool. It takes only minutes to cut and reflare the tube. It is easy to do, but must be "double" .  An insert makes a bell shape of the line end, then it is removed and the tool completes the flare.  Simple and inexpensive. ( Do not use copper tubing on brake lines. )

Call InLIne tube- they may have a set in their computer.  I sent them my old ones and they made a stainless set for my PB for around $250 and they fit perfectl;y.    1 800 385 9452.  they also made a set for my 72 LandCruiser, and when I got aound to installing them a year later, a couple of pieces were two short and they made them good at no charge.
