One more tip on trim removal.  Start at the bottom edge of the trim, not the top.  The piece was originally put in place top first, then over the clip and in to the body.  This is particularly true of the "crab" type clips that hold the trim to the doors, body quarters, etc.

There are at least 6 different types of original body molding clips for the 41's that I can think of of the top of my head, could be one or two other types that are simply not coming to me right now.
I stock all of them, some in a limited supply, others, I may have many.

Word of caution. When removing the stainless moldings from the sides of your hood be carefull. The begining, AND the end of both of those pieces are held on with a clip and a bolt! The other dozen or so are the push in type. You WILL damage the stainless, and the body if you simply try to pry these pieces off!

Also, use great caution on the front three Sargent Stripes. They use a different type of clip that holds like super glue.

The two front vertical strips must be unbolted from the rear of the molding. To access these clips, you must remove the horn and hood latch assembly. Same with the "heart shaped" surround.

Good Luck, and take your time.
If you find you need to replace any of these clips drop me a line.

http://www.restorationspecialties.com/  carry some 41 clips, the kind that push through a hole can be compressed slightly with some long nose pliers from behind and pushed out from there. They're usually rusty and anyway and I'd rather destroy the clip than risk damaging the trim. A wide thin pry bar can be helpful but you've got to be very careful how much force you apply.
I'm not a fan of steel clips, particulary the 'push in a hole' type as they take the paint off when they're inserted and start rusting straight away. I purchased some 50-55 plastic clips for my 39 from Florida Fastener on eBay and they're just dandy

Hello all, I am just starting to rip apart my 41 Plymouth. I am taking off all the stainless trim. Does anyone know the proper way to remove the trim? Is it possible to remove the trim without breaking the clips? Are the clips replaceable and if so where?

Thanks
Chris
