See if you can find a broadcast sheet, they were stuck under the carpet, under the springs inside the back seat and back of the front seat (most likely to survive) they have everything that would go on the tag.  I have Galen's books and if you tell me what options your car has, it is not a big deal to arrange the codes.  Another option would be to just get a tag from a junker - since it is not going to be original - it would not be a big thing.  As far as I know, no one is worried about "Numbers Matching" on Fury's - I don't believe it is any kind of crime (unless you do it to deceive a buyer) to alter the fender tag.  The VIN Tag is a whole different situation.

Depends on how accurate you want to be - if you find the broadcast sheet, it should have the order number - that is one thing you are going to have to fudge without a tag or broadcast sheet anyway.  The build date can be gotten from the broadcast sheet also.

Do a search for Galen Govier.  He has an extensive website on fender tags and decoding them.  Basically they contained the information in coded form of what the car was built with - i.e. engine, options, etc.

I have not been able to find an image of what a fender tag for a '69 FuryIII looks like. I have a repro outfit that needs to know what information is contained on the tage and, basically, what the tag itself looks like. Can anyone out there help???
