Windshield Replacement '41

The glass that does not have the "DUPLATE ASV/S H51" seal in the corner is about 1/4" smaller in height and width. I looked the windshield glass up in my parts book and I found both the right and left windshield glass have the same part number. I am guessing the the larger glass with the "DUPLATE" seal is original and the other was a replacement glass. Anyone know if the "DUPLATE" seal was on the original glass?

How is it different?  Height or width?  I replaced the windshields in my '40 some years back without removing the original rubber.  Had to "push" one side inward so the other one would slide in place but don't recall any difference in the two sides....

I removed the windshield from my '41 ASC Coupe to replace it with new glass. To my surprise, the two halves of the windshield were slightly different sizes and shapes. Should both halves be the same. I thought perhaps one piece of glass had been replaced in the past and the glass cutter made a template without the original glass as a guide. One piece of the windshield has a "Duplate ASV/S H51" seal in the corner. The other doesn't. Any suggestions?
