1928 Plymouth Dash frame paint.

I have seen it done either of these two ways. I can not say for sure which is correct, but the dashes that I have pulled from untouched parts cars appear to be all the same color (main upper body color).

Can anyone post pictures or tell me how the dash frame on a 1928 plymouth should be painted. My dash did not have original paint on it. The car is two-tone green and black.
