Wire cables

Dear sct, if You want to save the stuck original cables, You best take them out, hang them straight down and dip very fine oil ( sewing machine oil, gun oil) in the top entrance. let it hang until the oil drops out at the bottom. Usually You can reuse the cables now.

Dont oil (newer) cables with inner TEFLON coating: here only TEFLON spray is ok. Oil can swell the coating until uselessness!

If they have a kink, You may not be able to reuse them. Than try to put a new stainless steel wire core. Try a bicicle or motor bike shop. They have parts to custom repair cables.
Don?t try to solder (or screw!) end nippels on safety relevant cables (e.g. Hand brake).

Am restoring a 48 plymouth and have found that the wires in all the cables going to the hood release, choke, and other are solid in the cable is there a magic way to get them unstuck an usable?
