I am working on replacing the window sweeps on my 57 Plymouth post sedan.  (the fuzzy things that are on the window trim to keep the glass from rattling)  I have replaced everything so far except the strips that are stapled to the garnish trim.  I have the old ones off, but I don't know how to install the replacements.  The replacements came with staples, but the holes are too small.  I could drill new ones, but how will I get the staple folded flat?  Could I use some sort of epoxy or glue like Gorilla Glue?  I don't want the staple heads to stick out of the fuzzies and scratch or break the door glass.  What should I do?
