Plymouth Bulletin question

Since the Big-Tailed Beast (my Fury) is a '60 model (as was the one I abused from 1960 to 1964), you know I can hardly wait for any celebration of that particular Plymouth edition.  After all, that was my first automotive love affair and who can forget their first love?

Regarding 50th anniversary coverage of particular Plymouth model years: My plan is to feature the 50th anniversary model sometime during its 50th year.  Hence, the 58s should have been featured sometime during 2008. I had intended to feature the '58s together with the Grand National Meet which also featured the '58s.  However, the GN coverage took up an entire issue and I had to spin off '58 coverage to the next issue which happened to be the first of 2009.  It sometimes happens that way.

I realize there have been a number of '57-58s on the covers of recent Bulletins--290, 291 and now 294, in particular--plus the club's anniversary logo the entire 2007 year which featured the Plymouth built during the club's founding year.  In addition, of course, was coverage of Tulsa's ill-fated '57 Miss Belvedere. But a '42, '34, '68 RR and a whole parking lot of Plymouths have also made recent covers. 

Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the '59s will be in either the May-June or July-August, 2009, Bulletins.  An author has stepped forward to cover the '60s when they turn 50 in 2010.  Being an owner of a '49 for the past 34 years, I may be partial to some 60th anniversary coverage of that pivotal year.

If I remember correctly, Lanny stated that because of the large amount
of Road Runner coverage in '08, there were some more '58 Plymouth
articles that he needed to print.

The Bulletin is a GREAT club mag, it has the awards to prove it. There are great articles and photographs; it just, well, rocks!

Now, I may ruffle a few feathers and I certainly do not mean any disrespect, but I just got the latest issue that is (still) celebrating the 50th anniversary of the '58.

What?! How long will this go on. I love the '57-58s and much as any other Plymouth-loving non-owner of a '58, but celebrating the 50th a full year and a half after the REAL 50th? Shouldn't we be celebrating the '59? Or the 60th of the (new) '49s.

I don't mean to complain, but I was just wondering.
