I haven't worked with him so I can't give you a personal read on the services, however...on another forum I participate on some of the members have had good luck working with Hunley Acuff in Georgia.   His telephone is 706-866-4875 (Georgia, USA).   I've seen photos of his work and its pretty amazing at a fair price.   Not cheap but fair.   As I understand it he works from solid cores like the one you apparently have.

I am seeking knowledge on restoring my door sill plates.  The metal is good but the rubber is in bad shape.  Any valuable info from people who overcame this problem would be appreciated.  Also, does anyone know of a vendor for replacement rubber?

Thanks,
Clark
