Here is a picture of the frame from a '41 coupe.

Please post a picture of your car.  Perhaps we can get some people interested in buying it.

Hello Cooupe.
What body style is your 41?
Is the car located in MI.?
I am looking for a winter project, and this might foot the bill.
Would like to see some photos if that is possible. You could email them to me directly at
Thank you!

41 Plymouths do have an X member in the frame which 42 to 48s do not have.  I don't think it would be difficult to put a 41 body on a 41-48 frame.  The most obvious difference, viewing from underneath is the 40 and 41 frames are open cross sections  whereas the 42-48 are a welded box and are sufficiently strong without the X, except for convertibles.

I recently bought a 41 a few months back and now need to sell for financial reasons.
I took it to a car show trying to sell it and it was brought to my attention from someone looking at it that it's
not the original frame. He was saying that the drive shaft goes through the middle of the X number???
Does anyone know how you can tell if it IS the original frame on it? Or maybe can someone send a picture
through here of what the original frame looks like? And yes I sound like I am talking female lauguage...well
I happen to be and know alot about old cars. But not this one. Please let me know. Thank you
