That is right! I have a 1953 Packard and a 1953 Plymouth and there is LOTS that match up with one another. But the quality with the Plymouth IS much better than the Packard cars. :P

Just came back from a local show that had an unrestored '51 Packard 200 on display.? There was a distinct 'family resemblance' to a lot of the body trim and hardware, which shouldn't be a surprise since Briggs made bodies for both Plymouth and Packard.? The headliner, windlace, and sunvisor brackets looked identical to what I have in my '51 and '52 Plymouths, and the dome lamp switch on the inside pillar looked like it would interchange but had a different-shaped trim bezel. ? The headlight rings also looked the same.? So I guess what I'm trying to say is that the next time you need a trim item for your Plymouth, don't go rushing past the Packard vendor at the swap meet.
