1951 business coupe body number and vehicle number

Thank you for the  data, it is appreciated.  At present my '51 is quite ratty as well, it's in the slow, beginning stages of being restored. I'm live  in Massachusetts.  I don't know much about the tpye of vehicle so I may ask further questions as the works go along.

The '113' in the body number is the Style Number for a Concord Business Coupe, the remainder of the number is the consequetive unit number for the body.  The '1816' number is the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the car.  There were different starting VIN's based on series (Cambridge, Cranbrook, and Concord) and assembly plant.  Your car was built in Detroit.

The Business Coupe is the rarest body style of all the '51-2 Plymouths.  Only about 15,000 of them were made over the two years.  For comparison, they made 51,000 Cranbrook convertibles in those years.

I also have a '51 Business Coupe (ratty though it may be...) that was built a little later in the year than yours; my VIN begins '1817'.  I'm in New Jersey, what part of the world are you?
