Thank You both for the good news,
I will order next week!
For these couple of days no big travel is planned, for short it stays cool with lot of oil.

Go,

In one of my Mopar parts books, there is a listing of Autolite generator numbers matched to Chrysler part numbers.  It shows the GGW-6001 K to be the same as 1257392.  You might be able to obtain a new bearing locally by visiting a bearing supplier who can cross-reference the Chrysler number to a bearing manufacturer's number.  Hope this helps.

Go,
i just checked on PartsVoice (http://www.partsvoice.com/) using the bearing part number you had. According to PartsVoice, Collectors Auto Supply (www.collectorsautosupply.com) and DECEPTION PASS MOTOR PARTS, ANACORTES,WA (360-299-2582) have the part.
Hope this helps.

Dear all,

without noticing it, my generator lost its front fixing skrew and has been driven disparalell to the motor. Maybe for this wrong force vector, the bearings have suffered. Can?t get the rear bearing (kind of oilite bronze, no roller bearing) from Kanter, Bernbaums, Pro Antiques, Roberts.

For P23, my parts book says generator(8-28-3)  part No 1257392 and bearing (8-29-113) part No 1253 359.
The bushing is identical for Generator 1136 931 (Chrysler C51,C52, C54 engines)

In their lists, Valley Vintage Classics coudn?t find my generator?s specifications:

6 V - Shunt Generator
Chrysler parts number 1343236
Auto Lite No GGW 6001 K
Serial No  F 007858

Any advice where to get the bushing and which one I need? I got the front roller bearing, but would take a complete servicing set too.

Thanks in advance! Go
