1933 Plymouth Door Alignment

There is a little adjustment of the dovetail on the door that can help on minor vertical misalignment. (The through holes in the sheet metal are oversized and the threaded backing plate behind has some slop in its keeper.)

For anything more than a trivial amount of adjustment the service manual shows pretty much the same procedure used on cars through at least the 1980s: Judicious bending of metal.

I am not skilled at it so I won't try to describe where and how to bend things based on the alignment issue to be addressed. Check around for general body alignment repair procedure guides for ideas. The main thing is to go slowly and carefully so that you don't damage more than you fix.

Doors on my 1933 PC couple need to be adjusted upward at the latch.  Has anyone shimmed or bent the hinges?
