I used "Gas Tank Re Nu"(not sure of the spelling), but it has a life time warranty. I've been very pleased with it.

The Plymouth Bulletin had an article sometiime ago about building a new gas tank.  That might be the best idea in the long run....

Fiberglassing the outside of the tank is a temporary repair at best. Find a shop which will coat the inside of the tank with a special coating which will seal all leaks.  Usually a radiator shop will have a connection to such a service. It can cost several hundred dollars but is guaranteed and is cheaper than a new tank.

Need some help with repair of my gas tank on my 1939 P8 Business coupe.  I had it boiled out and welded recently to patch leaks, but it still leaks profusely.  I am thinking about fiberglassing the lower half or just replacing it by buying a new one.  Would appreciate some suggestions from someone who has gone through this before.  If I can salvage the old one by fiberglassing it, I would like to, but I don't know if patching it that way is safe or smart.  Please reply.
