Rubber pieces - 37 Coupe

I used Buckeye Rubber Products (they are listed in the POC Bulletin) for the running boards on my '39 Plym conv. coupe. Paul makes new boards which he vulconizes new rubber to, they are first class and you don't have to go through the hassel of cleaning, repairing and shipping your old cores to him.  I got most of my rubber, gromets, windshield, etc., from Steel. A couple of pieces I had to get from Metro.  I have heard people say Steel is a little pricey for their rubber products, I found them to be first class with no hassel's.  Acuff is the only person in the industry that recovers the rumble seat step. You have to send him your old one then he will volconize a new step pad onto it.

I did an "off the chassis" resto on my car so I redid my body mounts, Steel has the rubber mount bushings, I think there are 14 of them in two different  sizes.

Just in case you don't know it, the 37,38 & 39 Plyms use the same running boards....Bill

The only person you should call for running boards is Hunley Acuff in Georgia.
Do you have your original running boards already?
If so, you'll need to remove all the rubber from the metal. Fix any imperfections in the metal. Sandblast them - don't prime them! - and then send them down to Hunley.
Weeks later when they arrive, they'll be in mint condition, just like from the factory in 1937.
