Proper engine color

I'm trying to figure out the correct engine color for my 41 two-door sedan. what's there now is the aluminum color for the head and for the block. I am working on building a spare engine and would like to paint it correctly. The oil pan is aluminum color also and the air filter is black. Can someone point me in the right direction to find this information out, maybe some judging standards?
