My 1933 has a similar metal support that holds the front motor mount and there is definitely no rubber between it and the frame. There are no rubber pieces for between that "Engine Front Support Plate" show in the 1936-1948 factory parts manual.

For what it is worth, the front engine mount which is on the top of that support plate, is officially a "Engine Front Support Insulator Assembly" and is part number 1115744 which was used on both Plymouth cars and commercial vehicles (i.e. PT50) from 1937 through at least 1948.

See part codes 9-65-6 and 9-67-4 in the factory parts book.

Which one is correct?

Thank you, you can't believe how many people i asked and nobody had a clue.

Again, very much appreciated.

Time to stuff the motor in.

Cheers

No, that support bolts directly to the frame. The motor mount is that flat piece with rubber at the top.

Please look at the photo, does this front engine mount bracket need 2 rubber type mounts between this piece and frame?

Or does it bolt up to the engine and frame the way it is?

FYI:
I bought the car in pieces so i have no idea and any help would be appreciated.
