Permatex carb base?

If my high idle persists with all of the suggestions that have been made (Thank you)-
Is it possible that the carb base might be a bit warped?- or-Some kind of vacuum leak there-would putting permatex-- carb to gasket-and gasket to intake manifold resolve this?
