I found the strainer. It is part of the oil drain plug the pump must set in the filter straining the oil before entering the pump

Looking at the 1928-33 Plymouth Master Parts Book I don't see a screen on the oil pump inlet plumbing. And the listing for oil filters starts with 30-U.

So I think there is neither a screen nor filter. But I am not an expert on the 4 cylinder models, just a dummy with a copy of the parts book.

Recently purchased a 28 Q 2 door 6 window. Currently running and driving. I am trying to find out if this motor has a oil filter or screen to service?
