Which Year Is This Badge?

On my grandfathers 40 RoadKing it's on the dash and that's it on his car.
I'm pretty sure that is it for the 40 Plymouth since he restored it to look exactly the way it came out the factory in 1940.
Here is a picture of where it?s located on his car?


Do you have any better pictures of a RoadKing emblem?

Anybody know which year(s) this badge was used and where on the car it was used?? I assume it is 39 and/or 40 as "Road King" was used only 38 - 40.? I have a couple of 38s so I'm sure it isn't that year.
