The picture I uploaded is a bad exapmle to show the side view. But the lines are supposed to be where yours are. From the front, behind the dipstick tube. Just under the oil filter, kinda. Also there should be a pressure valve that you should take out and clean. It's in the same area as the lines go. If it's cruddy, your oil pressure won't read correct. Just don't loose the spring in it. Hope this helps.

Original or Street Rod? That is the question. Is is right or wrong to do either? No, as long as an old car is preserved. What difference does it make. I have both.

Sorry, two lines cross each other.? The one going to the carb is from the distributor.? The oil line runs to the block at a point behind the oil filler tube.? It is not the place yyour photo shows, but it does go into the block.

??? I wouldn't have a clue as to why that would be. Can't imagine it doing anything but dumping oil in the intake and making tons of smoke.  :o

My car is strictly original.? ?Thanks for the photos, they really help.? When I got the engine for the car, the bottom line of the filter went to a position just below the carburetor.? Any reason why?

The oil line connections are located on the same side of the block as the distributor and just be hind it.  The inlet line is the upper connection, while the outlet is the lower connection. See the attachment.
