Thank you, Go, for the beautiful photos of your car in the city.
I know you are enjoying being able to drive it again.

And, thank you, Bob, for the photo of your car at the Robin Hood Diner.
Good photo.

Go might just have hit the nail on the head with saying spring is here,  It is suppose to rain here for a couple of days to give the roads a good bath, then be in the 60's with sunshine Thursday and somewhat warmer on Saturday with even more sunshine.   if all goes well, I see a drive up to have breakfast at the Robin Hood Diner in Livingston Manor, NY

we had a very long and unpleasant winter, snow was rare, but rain abbundant!
16th of Oct. my Ply was put in mother in law´s Garage (1/4 mile from my mechanics shop) in Essen- Werden, 22 mls from Düsseldorf.
This Friday 6th of April I finally got advice that the week before everything was done:
emergency brake repaired, overdrive no more leaking oil (thus the handbrake failure!),
a handful of trivia done the biannual security check passed.
Beeing the first beautiful day since long, I immediately took the Ply home!
This weekend I sorted back all the not used spare parts and updated my stock list.
Than the rides this wekend were beautiful.
Since yesterday the cherry trees are in full blossom and everybody took their Oldies on the streets.
I cruised one of the most famous shopping sites of Europe, the Königsallee "KÖ" , but I had no chance to park for a foto. This is 2 mile from my house. Traffic jam from cars of surrounding countys, even though all the stores have to stay closed on sundays.
These Fotos are all in my quarter.
Foto 1 is on Salierplatz
Foto 2 + 3 on Barbarossa- Platz/ Luegallee
(St. Antonius church in the background, streetcar rails in middle of the avenue)
Foto 4 on Lankerstr. with the beautiful Thunderbird. No Parking option!
Ply went into its garage 200 m away than, and on my bycicle ride back home  I stopped at the Ford:
Foto 5 shows it and our preferred  pub "Hopper" with the big dark red canvas awning on the opposite side of the street (we have some 35 restaurants, bars, pubs of all kinds within 20 minutes of walk). This and the other foto locations are within 12 minutes by feet from home. Tuesday Heiner will put his tables on the sidewalk again- welcome summer!
