Photos within a post?

Looking for suggestion on how to post photos within a thread,,, by using attachment the photos are added to the end of a post. With most of my post being restoration work I would like to add notes between the pics. At one time using photobucket you could use their URL but now with charges, I can only see more image hoisting site going the same way. The [image] [\image] (/) (forward slash changed to back slash for illustration only) doesn?t give me the choice of uploading from my computer or at least I haven?t been able to make it work.

I constantly use jelsoft enterprises ltd vbulletin for a metal shaping forum and there I can add photos explaining what I have done step by step, in fact just the same as Chetbrz (Brzostowski) does on his own platform. Any suggestion gents.
