That was my thought also but it seems to jump back a forth. I prefer centered on the steering column which limits my selection. I have a friend who has the experience and equipment to transport a car for me but he does not understand that I want to sit in a drive. I was able to go this week to see a car for sale close to my home and even it was nice it did not appeal to me. BTW it was a 49 in decent shape and could be driven as is. I am leaning to 35-37 2 door.

Styling?

Being able to sell the vehicle in left hand drive countries with fewer modifications?

I dunno.

But it is back to the future: My 1933 Plymouth has the instrument cluster and speedometer in the center of the dash.

Why is it that some models have the speedo located in the middle of the dash not centered in front of the driver?
