Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!   Based on the perfect picture you sent, the shop had installed two levers backwards and left the throttle spring off. All I ended up having to do was flip the levers over and get a spring. It works perfect now including the throttle control inside the cab!.  Spent hours on this twice and all it took was your picture. Thanks, you are the best!

When I got my car the throttle return spring was as you see in this photo and I've kept it this way. However I've seen many other cars where the spring goes down and hooks on a tab attached to one of the bolts that hold the intake and exhaust manifolds together. Your choice (and I guess it depends on how long your spring is).

The cable attached to the throttle linkage stuff is the hand throttle on the dash, the choke cable attaches to the carburetor.

Hello, I have a 1933 Plymouth PD coupe. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how the throttle linkage is supposed to be hooked up.  I have tried different combinations and cannot get it to work correctly. The rod comes from under the firewall and pushes on a lever that pushes on another lever. The lever set up is what I am talking about. I have tried different combinations and cannot get it work correctly. The 1st lever has to travel too far before it pushes down on the second lever. They are the original parts. When I had the car painted, the engine was taken out, but the mechanic was not able to put it back the way it was when I took it to them. Any help would be appreciated.
