Hallo,
only today I found this forum again...

My Overdrive Handle Bracket is self made and fixes to the Cowl Vent Linkage bolts (plus one Clamp).
This may not be the original location, but I wanted to avoid drilling new holes.

So, I left enough space for the Reverse light switch.

Here is my configuration of my after market reverse light switch:
The swich housing stands on the steering column jacket, held by a substantial clamp (seen partially).
It?s plunger is pushed in by a 2- layerd lever clamped to the shift column.
Into reverse gear shifting takes the shift column up and turns it counter clockwise.
So, the rev.light switch actuating lever reaches the plunger.

When leaving the shift lever alone, the shift column returns down a bit.
To avoid disengaging the contact to the plunger now, the actuating lever is split horizontally:
the lower shim goes down, the upper shim stays up due to a pivot to the lower and a bend-up, now held by the plunger.

When shifting into neutral, the shift column turns clockwise and the plunger releases the bend-up. Thus, the upper shim of the actuating lever parallels the lower again by force of a little coil spring.
This spring is shown, a bit darker than the actuating shims.

This setting is not too reliable, but very wobbly, and adjustment of the clamps etc. was very difficult.

I thought this was the spot  but this has overdrive and there is no place for the switch. I cannot find any literature either. Thanks for the response.

I remember that the backup light switch screwed into the left side of the transmission near the shiifter linage.  On cars without the switch, there was a pipe plug instead.

Anyone know where the switch is for the reverse lights on 52 Concord with 3spd Overdrive. I have not found a listed part or a picture of or description of this switch. The car has brand new lights on it but they have not been wired.
