Transmission Removel?

It was a broken throw out bearingmessing up the removal. Thanx anyhow.

Now a need to find a Pinion bearing retaine part # 42954 or 308669.

Can antone help?

I'm replacing the throw-out bearring on my '28 Plymouth. I have the 4 mounting bolts removed and the tranny should just slide out. Right?

For some reason the tranny will not budge. I appears there is nothing else holding it to the bell housing. Not even some hammer blows the tranny is stuck on there tight as Dicks Hat Band!

Most trannys just slide out once unbolted. Is there something I'm missing?

Perhaps unseen dowels?

Can anyone shed light on this???

Frustrated in Oregon.
