I don't know if the same colors were offered in 1956. My 55 Plymouth Belvedere is Turquoise Blue and Egg Shell White.
I looked up the colors that were available in my 55-56 service manual.
They are Exterior colors: Jet Black, Powder Blue (light), Wedgewood Blue (medium), Turquoise Blue (light), Midnight Blue (Dark Met), Pine Green (Dark Met), Seaspray Green (light), Bronze, Pearl Gray (light), Charcoal Gray (Dark Met) Briar Rose, Cherry Red, Eggshell White, and Canary Yellow.
I do remember seeing cars in the following combinations, Red/White, Black/White, Red/Black, Blue/White (all shades of blue) yellow /black.

Bob,
Have you been to oldcarbrochures.com ?  There is a sales brochure for your car,
but no paint chips or combinations there of.  However, all of the body styles are
displayed and it seems, from what I can read, all or most of the standard two-tone
combinations can be seen.  There are thumb nail photos, but when you open a page,
the images are huge.  You might even be able to save the images.
