Thanks for all the responses. Sea Mist Green it is. I believe upon further research that Sea Mist Green was used on both US and Canadian Dodges.

Interesting story an old body man told me about Sea Mist Green.  Seems he was just starting out in the business and working at a dealership where a customer bought a new car - but wanted to have a windshield sun visor installed.  One that matched the color of his car.  Fulton (and other companies, including MoPar parts) offered accessory/after market sunvisors, so the parts were brought to the body shop to paint.  He asked what color?  The salesman told him Sea Mist Green.  Now the body man misunderstand "Sea Mist Green" and thought he had been told "see Miss Green" -- the secretary in the office.  So he went to see Miss Green and ask her what color to paint the sunvisor.  She, of course, didn't have a clue about any of this.  The body man was adamant he'd been told to see Miss Green to ascertain the color to paint the sunvisor.  After several "go-rounds" the salesman was consulted and the problem was solved.  Paint the sunvisor Sea Mist Green!

Hey Chet whats shaking???  Any chance your are gonna come up to Rhinbeck in MAY??

Hi Greg,

I don?t think so.., I currently just have two much going on this summer.  I want to get the VA house on the market by spring of next year so I have concurrent home improvement projects going on in two states at the moment.  Not to mention the cars.  The day job is really cramping my style.  Like to get rid of that sooner then later and spend all my time driving around the country buying crap and selling it on eBay for a 35% ROI.  Cash, cash.

What?s happening in Rhinbeck ?  Anyway I still need to get some good comprehensive insurance on the car.  After a near collision with an ?airhead? in a sports car coming back from Roscoe and then the smoke and fire resulting from pushing it up to 60mph with the parking brake on,  has given me pause to think about something better then liability.  It?s a good thing the underneaths of the car are oil free otherwise that could have been a major event.  Just the new paint burning off the parking brake assembly.  You know those little fire extinguishers you carry when we go to a car show doesn?t do much turned sideways and pointed up ???  Basically useless.

Besides if I don?t drive the car to Virginia soon I think Jim, Rodney, & Pat are going to completely stop talking to me.  The problem is when.

I recently purchased this '51 Dodge D39 Business Coupe which is at present a tri-colour with regards to paint. It was originally grey but was given a cheap black paint job sometime in its life. A green replacement fender was put on the driver's front side and I have included a picture of the car showing this fender. The fender has original paint and you can see a small area I rubbed to bring the colour a bit brighter. I have always liked this particular green on the early '50's Mopars and when it comes time to paint the car that will be the colour I will use.

The question.................does anyone know the name of this colour and the paint code would be nice also? It is a Canadian car but if the name and code is not the same I should be able to cross reference it. Thanks for any help in advance.
