I am looking for the NAPA part number for Points for a 1934 Plymouth with 201 Cu In 6 cyl engine.
I tried Napa part #ECH  CS763A but they are  the wrong ones.
any help appreciated.

What distributor do you have on the car? I've used the CS763A in the 644H distributor in my PD.

36 Ply

From the NAPA (Weatherly #100) catalog, dated June 1969,

Plymouth 1933-34

With 644-H distributor, points   CS763A       condenser  RR174

With 622-H distributor points     CS765         condenser  RR174 (same as above)

This may help you at a swap meet or flea market.

You need to take the distrubutor number to the parts store to make sure the interanl parts match.  There were several series of dizzys used among the series of flat 6 engines.  They differ in body height cap height, poisnt location etc.  So ther is a number, the later ones typically begi with t letters like IAT IAG IGS followed by a number.  The parts place needs that number to assure that the pieces are compatable.

Word of caution, most of the store brand points are lately from china or mexico, their quality is questionable.  The cam rubbing block is usually a soft plastic, the wick for the cam lubricator if any is provided is either poor or missing all together.
The spring tension piece lacks any rebound tension, and the contact material is made of reprocessed tuna fish cans.

You might be better served to dress your current points with a good points file, clean the rotor and clean and inspect your current cap (make sure it's not cracked) as opposed to using some of the junque that out there now.

The last set of tune up parts I got (last spring) were from a Car Quest parts outlet.  I looked at several sets offered by NAPA and they were all chinese crappe.  Don't know how much longer American made stuff of this sort will be available.

You might try online at Rock Auto.com
