I am not sure if this is the right forum for this. IF it is not, please forgive me.

Does anyone know how many of the 30 U's are still around. I know that there were sedans, rumble seat coupes, roadsters, commercial sedans, business coupes and phaetons made. I think there were about 5500 of the rumble seats coupes mades. It astounds me that you can build a mail order Model A or T but Plymouths are so hard to find parts for.

Pat :)

There were 5,850 rumble seat coupes made, see http://www.ply33.com/Models/30-U/#rscoupe

My older Plymouth Club roster shows 57 people who own 1930 Plymouths, some who own more than one. The club is rebuilding its car information with the current membership renewal cycle and the number may change. But basically there are only a few hundred 30 Plymouths out there to market to while there are millions of Ford Model A vehicles which also explains why fewer parts are being manufactured for Plymouths of that era.

It doesn't help you a lot, but starting in 1933 with the introduction of the six cylinder engine mechanical parts are much easier to find as many of them were used for the following few decades. Body and trim parts for any vintage Plymouth are much harder to find than for Chevrolets or Fords.
